Mesmer, echo SS is extremely useful in tombs and uw. Monk could also work if you want to go with a 55 necro.

I would go for Mesmer for the same reason as Bloodied. But remember you can always change your sec prof after you get ascended..

monk is good for secondary, since you wont be frontline...you will end up using rebirth quite often if you get stuck in crappy PUGS

Monk is also helpful for MM's or if you find yourself using all necro skills for the reusable rez.
Personally, my latest necro is /ranger and uses a couple of traps and trolls unguent when running with just henchies. Pick all ranged ones and lure the monsters onto the traps, great fun.
So pretty much any combo has something to offer, with probably mesmer and monk the top choices.

I find that MM's are well-suited for solo farming. Bring Blood of the Master for healing minions and Heal Area. Healing Breeze for yourself. Keeping your minions up and rotating raising and maintaining minions is a good skill to refine for solo farming and a lot of groups need a strong MM. Also bring Rotting Flesh and another death based damage skill. Max Death Magic and you should be able to split Healing and Soul Reaping at ten. I opt for a Superior Rune of Death Magic to bump my Death Magic to 16. Bloodstained boots are a must. Go for high energy weapons with Death Magic bonuses. Flesh Golem as your elite.
You should plow through most areas easily by yourself as long as there are "fleshy" creatures to exploit and you are able to get your minions started. Get the mesmers and monks out of the way when attacking a group as interrupts are the bane of any MM.

MM solo farm was for pre-MM nerf days. 10 minions with smart AI opponents won't do crap. Have you even tried solo MMing... the monsters come for you all the time. I don't care if you have powerful healing or Dark Bond, you will run out of minions before you take several monsters down.
Last time you already gave spurious informations on BiP. Stop telling people strategies that don't work.
